Preparing for a Diffrent Normal: An Interview With Bhavna Juneja

--

As COVID-19 gained traction, corporate executives worldwide were confronted with a series of high-stakes choices. Confronted with an escalating global health catastrophe, they were tasked with the responsibility of safeguarding workers and consumers, identifying alternate sourcing alternatives, interpreting changing consumer preferences, and, in certain instances, figuring out how to remain afloat.

Several of their choices were hasty ones intended to address an immediate issue. On the other hand, others have shown skills and possibilities previously unimaginable, which may radically alter their company’s business model as nations emerge from different phases of crises.

Today, we interviewed Bhavna Juneja- Global Vice President at Infinity, a Stamford Technology Company, to know her views on what organizations can do to emerge stronger from this global pandemic.

Several of their choices were hasty ones intended to address an immediate issue. On the other hand, others have shown skills and possibilities previously unimaginable, which may radically alter their company’s business model as nations emerge from different phases of crises.

A return to the next normal will be a different normal. What organizations do right now will define the future, yet making decisions and acting with assurance has never been more challenging. Companies with a framework that outlines a path forward, having clarity amid the uncertainty worldwide, will lead and thrive in the post-pandemic world.

Empowering remote workers to be more productive and motivated is the key to success.

Empowering a healthy remote workforce entails more than just providing network connectivity and group meeting software, said Bhavna. Equipping workers to operate effectively beyond the confines of a conventional workplace is another cultural hurdle. For instance, how can leaders communicate the company’s principles to workers who work from home? How can teams function effectively when they are physically separated? What engagement strategies are businesses using with their workforces on a global and local scale?

Leaders who prioritize trust, adaptability, and resilience in an adaptable workforce culture enable workers to be the greatest versions of themselves — both physically and psychologically — regardless of whether they work face-to-face or screen-to-screen, she said.

She believes that the tools and methods available to manage expenses are much more successful than past recessions’ “belt-tightening” measures. CFOs and CEOs must analyze today’s pain points to better plan for the future. While no one can predict the future, businesses may use AI and other technologies — such as automation, blockchain, IoT, 5G, and edge computing — to intelligently rebalance costs, assist in transforming the unthinkable into the expected.
